Why Read?

There are some reasons why people read. Children, youth and adult alike read for a purpose. One reason is for personal development, another is for enjoyment. But some say they read critically while others read to gain knowledge. Whatever the purpose it maybe, we read for advancement, for personal exposure or self-improvement and generally, we read to acquire, gather and receive more knowledge and make use of our brain to think.

In my class, students learn many ways: they need to think, expound or report something about reading in order to learn and enrich their knowledge as well. They think of activities in order for them to learn and share to their classmates. The teacher facilitates and helps them to think wisely and creatively. Somehow, they read, learn and share to prepare them for the work ahead.
