Summer is a time for family bonding and for each family member to just loaf around. But summer for my family means bonding together even on online games. My kids discovered an online games which do lots of puzzling. Its a kind of adventure on the high seas as a pirate character, by which during the voyages one needs to do puzzling works.

Somehow i was also introduced to the games by my two boys. When i tried the games i also enjoyed it. It makes you think logically as well as makes you do some critical thinking. In some instances you also need to understand the process of teaming with other members of your crew so that you will win battles against brigands.

Both of my kids have lots of fun, though one disadvantage i saw, they spend less time outside doing physical sports. So i have to curved their computer time. Where ever and whatever you do, when you do it together – it is more fun, as i have discovered playing together with my kids.

This is one of the colours of life. We went to 3 different countries last April and we visited some of the known tourist spots. It was an enjoyable moment for us with some friends and took some pictures around the city. We’ve been to Singapore and stayed in their huge and beautiful airport, then in Kulala Lumpur where we visited the twin tower, heading to Hatyai, Songkhla, Thailand. It was a memorable trip and we had a smooth travel from one country to another.

Another string instrument that our teenager would love to play is guitar. I was wondering if there is available tech 21 amp at Guitar Center here in our place. It has been his desire to learn music and become a source of his inspiration every time he feels sad or disappointed. Somehow, he learned fast and was able to play inside the church for a couple of months already. It’s our joy to see him growing and learning.

Our trip to Thailand was so memorable and an enjoyable summer experience. Hubby and I with some friends came to Thailand last April and we stayed for 10 days and glad to be back again. I missed the food, the place, the beauty spots and the people. My belly became heavier a bit so I tried to eat less again when I came to the Philippines, sigh!

Anyhow, eating Thai food was put to my taste again, I was drooling and I really ate to the max with some friends who invited us to eat here and there.

While our son is growing he also learns many things about music. At the same time he needs a new brand like Breedlove Guitars that will encourage him to study and enjoy the songs he is playing everyday. Somehow, singing is part of his life now while doing other things that a teenager loves this summer. Glad to see him giving his best.

The first thing we did was to look for the best cd duplication since there are many choices we can get from there. Hubby saw something he liked and he was so excited to buy one. Our trip was indeed a memorable one and we all had fun and fellowship with other friends.

We’ve been looking forward to the day that we will have the opportunity to go back to Thailand again. It has been two long years that we’re not able to go visit the Land of Smiles, due to a very loaded schedules and demands for our time. But this summer, an opportunity comes for us to again experience the culture and to be with the Thai people again.

Our trip allowed us to pass through “Singapura -the Lion City,” as well as take a side trip to one of the tallest building in the world – the Petronas Twin Towers. Malaysian hospitality, their colorful cultures and the tasty mosaic of foods allowed us to have a taste of truly Asia. Even the experience of riding on local transportation and of getting lost is just one of those unique and wonderful experiences.

When we went through Thai Immigration, flood of sweet memories came back. We found ourselves one with the people again. Having that gut feeling of belonging was a euphoria in itself – having understand the language of the people around you makes you feel like one of them, sharing the same air that you breathe. The taste of Thai food, which was a first again for a very long time, tickles your palate in a way that makes you appreciate every morsel of it.

A kaleidoscope of emotions bathed my being, seeing the familiar things, places and even meeting again people who became closer as the years went by. Such was a wonderful feeling, and somehow, i honestly whispered, “it’s good to be back..”

birthday

Just went back home from a birthday party of our dear Doc Alma. She has been our model in and out of the church and other surrounding places where she could be. Doc Alma was able to survive through thick and thin and has been a blessing to many.

Some letters from her children…

From a daughter:

Life lesson from Mama: pouring out her life for Jesus. She gave up a paying medical career to serve those who can’t afford a doctor and to raise her 5 ragamuffins. People in need text or call her at all hours because they know Nang Alma is always available to listen and help. EIDEM’s hearts are always drawn to Jesus no matter what happens because she pours out her heart in prayer for them every single day. She broke a rib protecting her grandchild, and she gets sick feeding the hungry, touching the sick, and crying with the hurting. God honors the one who puts Him first – sitting at His feet, trusting Him with all that are precious to her. I pray that God will help me have a heart like hers. I love you Mama. Happy happy birthday.

Another daughter:

Early morning, “tita, i saw lola sleeping while sitting”… lola of course was praying..that is one life lesson i learned from mama..you move mountains when u r praying..the impossible becomes possible..the heartaches turn to thanksgiving and most of all, My God becomes My Father. The relationship that i have with my Savior is a result of a mama on her knees. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA!!! i love you.

From a Son:

learned to love through my mother. She taught me the how and the why we love. She taught me to love the unlovable. Best of all, she taught me the GREATest love of all… the love of our FATHER. Happy birthday mama!!!

What an inspiration for a mother like Doc Alma, she taught us to be humble in many ways. The Lord used her mightily and blessed her with strength and a blessed life.
